Dreaming about today instead of tomorrow...

My Norway Favorites

Image
Going back to Norway is definitely going to happen at some point.  I absolutely LOVE it there. I visited Oslo, Bergen and Halden (the town my great grandparents were from). Got to meet family I hadn't met and see family that I hadn't seen in years. I learned some more Norwegian. I was blessed enough to have unusually beautiful weather. I learned the Norwegian birthday song as my family sang around the table with the most epic candle EVER on the cake! I walked where my great grandparents walked and my grandfather during his visits, and stood where my great grandmother was born (literally the corner her mother gave birth to all 11 children). I even got some of my great grandfather's stuff to take home from his brother's great grandson! All in all, it was a phenomenal trip.  Here are some of my favorite photos!

Musings of the Dog Obsessed

My faithful companion. Henry is there every step of the way!  It has been a rough semester with tons of reading and writing and moving two times and changing jobs and car troubles...I really don't know how we made it. But I am so glad that finals are over and summer is just around the corner! What's next??

For those of you trying to keep up with this gypsy, I have settled down for the time being and boy is it hard!! I kicked off a new semester at Multnomah Biblical Seminary last month with a week long class at the Portland campus and have settled into my Spring semester in Reno, NV. I am getting my Master of Arts in Biblical Studies with an emphasis on the Old Testament and, especially, the Hebrew language. Also, I now have a wonderful, new, holistic doctor who is trying to get me on a two year plan to get my disease and health under control. It's going to be rough, and cost more money than I can imagine having, but my Elohim has blessed it thus far so I ordered everything today! I cannot express how amazing it is after nearly 10 years to have a medical professional tell me there is hope! Especially after looking at how BAD my test results were! Seriously, it's amazing I haven't died yet! There is also a procedure she wants me to have done that could potentially cure a lot...

I turned 27...

I'm sorry it has been so long since I posted anything! Things have been crazy! I have been celebrating my birthday, releasing my second album in physical CD form for the first time, working, and wrestling with my neuromuscular disease. Welcome to my seven and twentieth year! I had a great time celebrating my birthday in my hometown with friends and family, and then at my CD release party here in the mountains where my good friends Battle Victorious stopped by on their Tumbleweed Tour. Not to mention a surprise visit from my mom that same day! It really has been a spectacular birthday this year thanks to all my beloved friends and family! Even though my disease graced me with its presence three times last week, leaving me more sore than I have ever experienced and totally freaking people out. Such is my life! Either way, I am happy to have survived another year of life and move on to new adventures!  Now, 27 happens to be one of my favorite numbers so I'm thinking this yea...
